You will drive up the crater highlands, making a quick stop at the rim for an out of this world view of Ngorongoro Crater. The journey continues into the home of the Great Migration, where you will witness wildlife on a whole new level. As you begin to enter the plains of the Serengeti, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. Home to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, antelope & elephants. Due to its rich environment, it is prime real estate for lions, cheetahs, leopards & hyenas. After a full, adventurous day, we will turn into our camp/lodge for dinner.Day 5 & 6: Serengeti, The Great Migration
On these two incredible days, you will be exploring different regions of the vast plains of the Serengeti. Depending on the time of year you visit will dictate which regions of the Serengeti are to be explored. Earlier months of the year will bring you to the more southern plains to witness the herds of the migration & possibly even get to witness part of the calving season. Into the later summer months, this could bring you to the more remote northern regions of the Serengeti to possibly witness a Mara River crossing!
Day 7: Serengeti to Arusha
Animals are mostly active during the evening hours, so we suggest a very early morning start to the day to catch some of the action & to watch the sunrise over the plains, one of the most unforgettable experiences. We will enjoy a picnic style lunch in the plains of the Serengeti and then we’ll proceed to on our route back to Arusha or to the airstrip in the Serengeti if you plan to add on a tropical beach extension.Subscribe to our newsletter
